Forgefield develops climate-resilient water infrastructure designed to provide communities with reliable groundwater while reducing dependence on unsafe surface-water sources.
Where households previously rely on firewood or charcoal to boil water, improved access to safe groundwater can reduce biomass use and associated emissions.
Through carbon finance and digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification, Forgefield aims to generate eligible climate value that helps fund the long-term maintenance of water infrastructure.

Forgefield is working towards supporting 1,000 highly resilient, community-managed boreholes across Ghana by 2030.
Our experience includes the maintenance of approximately 500 operational boreholes across Northern Ghana, with further expansion planned across:
